Pumori (7161m) – view from Lobuche at sunset.

Pumori (7161m) at sunset. View from Lobuche en-route of the Everest Base Camp trek in the Sagarmatha National Park. Solukhumbu, Nepal. November 2014. This is one of the most beautiful mountains in the area, in my opinion. It can easily rival the famous Ama Dablam and other peaks. Its name was given by George Mallory in 1921 and it means “Daughter Peak” in the Tibetan language. Lobuche is located in the Khumbu valley, close to the lateral moraine of the famous Khumbu glacier. It gets often fantastic evening views of Nuptse and Pumori.
