Dhaulagiri seen from Poon Hill (3210m) at sunrise. The eight-thousander is located in the distance of 38 km, as the crow flies, and the bottom of the Kali Gandaki valley, which separates the giant Dhaulagiri and the viewpoint, is at the altitude of about 1250 m.a.s.l, deep below. The hill, being a fantastic, scenic overlook and the highlight of the relatively short and easy Himalayan trek in the Annapurna Conservation Area, attracts numerous trekkers each morning in the trekking season, as it is seen in this photo.
