A mani wall in the Pangboche village, a bit off the main trekking route to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Religious structures like this are built along pathways in areas where Tibetan Buddhism is the dominant religion of the locals, as it is in the Khumbu Region inhabited by the Sherpa people. You can clearly see inscriptions on the mani stones in this picture. It is the Tibetan script, and it is the "Om mani padme hum" mantra written. Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
