Thikse Monastery, Ladakh
Thikse Gompa – large monastery in Central Ladakh belonging to the Gelug-pa order of the Tibetan Buddhism. A general view with a few temples and a number of monks’ houses. This monastery was built in the 15th century by one of Tsongkhapa’s deciples. It is located in the Indus Valley, about 20km east of Leh. Ladakh, India.
