Looking back from the steep approach of Thokla on the way to the Everest Base Camp. Dughla, the settlement below, is the place where most trekkers stop for lunch covering the relatively short stage between Dingboche or Pheriche and Lobuche. It is Ama Dablam on the left-hand side and Kangtega on the right. Among other 6000+ metres high peaks, Malanphulan draws the attention with its attractive, unclimbed north face.
