View from Zherin La
Looking down from the remote pass of Zherin La towards the Lungnak Valley after an unexpected early autumn snowfall. The main ridge of the Great Himalayan Range is seen on the other side of the valley. I’ve been this pass four times. Each time it seemed no one was there between my visits. There were no fresh prayer flags – just shreds of those we had hung on my earlier visit. There are countless places like this in Ladakh and vast numbers of wild trekking routes. That makes Ladakh a perfect region for adventure treks in small groups in remote areas. Himalayas, Union Territory of Ladakh, India.
