Thokla Pass is a place en route to the Everest Base Camp, where dozens of memorials dedicated to those, who died on their attempts to climb Everest, are located. Most of these memorials are in the form of stupa or chorten. Among them, there are fresh chortens dedicated to those who died during the 2015 earthquake when a massive avalanche hit the EBC. This one is dedicated to a young American lady who was a doctor on one of the expeditions. Ama Dablam is in the background. Sagarmatha National Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site.
