Dome and the spire of Boudhanath, the Boudha Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal, photographed shortly before sunset on a clear autumn day. The tower is gold-plated and the eyes, representing Buddha's wisdom, are often referred to as the all-seeing eyes of the Buddha, and there are Buddhist prayer flags hanging from the top of the tower. Boudhanath is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley and one of the best known tourist attractions of Nepal's capital.
