Boudha Stupa – a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu

Description

The dome and the golden spire of the Boudha Stupa (Boudhanath) in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu. A late afternoon view photographed on a clear autumn day in the warm light of the setting sun. The eyes depicted on each side of the tower represent the all-seeing wisdom eyes of the Buddha, and these are sets of Buddhist prayer flags stretched from the top of the spire. Boudha stupa is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley and one of the city's major tourist attractions.
