Evening reflection of the Taj Mahal

Description

Taj Mahal reflected in the water channel on a March afternoon. The famous mausoleum has been built by the Mughal emperor of India Shah Jahan (Muhammad Khurram), for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Banu Begum) after her death in 1631. It is situated on the Southern bank of Yamuna, the river considered sacred in India. This reflecting pool is one of the main features in the garden, which surrounds the mausoleum. The fountains of this pool are usually off on early mornings and evenings to allow the reflection. Taj Mahal is considered to be a symbol of love, it is one of the wonders of the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous landmark of India. Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
