Taj Mahal at sunrise at the moment when the morning mist disappeared. The famous mausoleum has been built by the emperor of India Shah Jahan (Muhammad Khurram), for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Banu Begum) after her death in 1631. It is situated on the Southern bank of Yamuna, the river considered sacred in India. Fog forms often above the river during the coldest days of winter in January and February which frequently obscures the mausoleum at dawn and disappears quickly as the sun warms the air. Taj Mahal is considered to be a symbol of love, it is one of the wonders of the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous landmark of India. Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.
