Thikse Monastery, Ladakh

Thikse Gompa – the Gelug-pa order of the Tibetan Buddhism, large monastery in Central Ladakh. A general view with a few temples and a number of monks’ houses in the view as well as a few chortens (stupa). This monastery was built in the 15th century by one of Tsongkhapa’s deciples. It is located in the Indus Valley, about 20km east of Leh. Ladakh, India.
