Alder swamp forest in Kampinos
Description
Alder swamp forest floor with clear tussocks, where common alder (Alnus glutinosa) trees grow, and wet depressions between them, where mostly brown, dried sedges (Carex) of early spring are seen. Mosses and lichens, covering bark of the tree trunks, along with polypores and some early starting leaves, form the only green elements in the view.
